Steijn & Koopmeiners: Netherlands Squad Updates

Sem Steijn has to postpone his orange debut for at least three days. The midfielder of Feyenoord was left out of the match selection by national coach Ronald Koeman for the match against Poland, tonight in De Kuip. Teun Koopmeiners is also missing on the list.

According to UEFA rules, a maximum of twelve players can take a seat on the couch. Because 25 players have been called, there must be two in the stands every match. So now those are Steijn and Koopmeiners.

The Dutch national team plays the third qualifying match at 8:45 PM in the run -up to next year’s World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico. The first two games were convincingly won against Finland (0-2) and Malta (8-0).
