The title of the West Division of the American Seattle Mariners would potentially cause schedule problems for Seahawks, which could lead to a change of time for at least one home match, and potentially two, Espn learned.
The next two Seahawks home games on October 5 against the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay and on October 20 against Houston’s Texans, are to take place on evenings when the navies could host eliminatory matches.
The infrastructure around the T-Mobile Park (Mariners) and the Lumen Field (Seahawks) are side by side and they are not made to support two games played at the same time. Holding two meetings at the same time could create logistics problems, including a chaotic traffic situation.
If the two naval and seahawks games are scheduled at the same time – a decision that the MLB must first take – changes at the Seahawks schedule could be made.
The time for the time for the first naval game on Sunday October 5, should not be rendered by the MLB before Friday. The same Sunday, the Seahawks must however face the Buccaneers at 1:05 p.m. local time.
If the navies were to play at the same time, the Seahawks could repel the time of the shipping kick from 90 to 150 minutes according to the team leaders.
There is also a similar, but less likely scenario that could happen for the match on Monday October 20 against the Texans, while match 7 of the Marine Division series is planned the same evening. The Seahawks must receive the Texans at 7 p.m. local time, in the second game of the evening in the NFL.
