Inox Team Saronno, Europe is still yours: cup cup 2025 on the bulletin board
The Saronno Inox Team returns to the roof of Europe. The Lombard training has conquered the 2025 Cup Cup, an event organized by the WBSC Europe Softball in collaboration with the Pharaons Baseball Softball company and played from 25 to 30 August in Évry, in the Paris district.
Guided by the Venezuelan technician Willy Pino Solano, the Saronnesi have been able to repeat the success of 2022, at the end of an almost perfect week, closed with the triumph in the final against the Dutch of the Roef Dames 1. A success that is worth double, because it arrived at the end of a season marked by sacrifices, difficulties and some unfortunate episodes, but capable of finding their best epilogue on the evening.
The decisive match
The match against the Dutch was decided in the lower part of the third inning. With two eliminated, Fabrizia Marrone conquered the first base after being hit by the launcher. Alessandra Rotondo’s single moved the second roder, so the bases were filled with the tactical choice of the Roef not to make McKenzie Barbara beat. The turning point came with Sofia Fabbian’s single, which pushed brown and round home for the 2-0 who directed the meeting.
The victory was built mainly in defense: the launcher Lizzy Avery dominated the mountain, giving just a valid one, closing with 94 launches and 5 strikeouts, kneeling the opposing clubs up to the upper part of the seventh inning, when the Saronnese party was consumed.
A triumph of team
The cup is the result of a group capable of mixing and sharing every moment, inside and off the pitch. A synergy that had in President Massimo Rotondo one of the main points of reference, a symbol of the passion and continuity of a project that has now been winning internationally.
At the end of the challenge, space for overwhelming celebrations: cup in the sky, hugs, tears of joy and the warmth of the fans who arrived in France to support the team, in the sign of sporting respect with the handshake to the Dutch opponents.
European confirmation
With this success, the Inox Team Saronno is confirmed among the greats of continental softball, strengthening a path that has been the protagonist for years both in Italy and in Europe.
