the club’s official statement declared, “This Board of Directors of Rosario Central does not share the manifestations that were made in some stands of the Arroyito giant during the last Sunday’s match against Boca.” The statement further emphasized that “this obscene way of manifesting does not represent the thought or the way of acting of this Board of Directors.”
Rosario Central acknowledged the role of healthy football traditions, stating, “We believe and like folklore in football, but whenever it is healthy and within a respect for the rival and the values of all our people. What happened last Sunday does not reflect these values.” The club took responsibility, promising, “Before the aforementioned facts, the club is responsible and will take care that this type of behaviors and objects are not repeated in no way in the future.”
