In the search to consolidate the city as a reference in sports competitions, the first edition of the Argentine High Performance Games (Jadar) begins today. Until Sunday, more than 50 disciplines will take place with the participation of more than 2500 athletes. The opening ceremony will be tonight at the fan fest installed on Oroño Boulevard with a parade of the delegations and a music show. Most competitions will take place at the facilities of the Independence Park, although also in clubs.
The Municipality returns to sport in the foreground and is proposed from today to Sunday organize for the first time the Argentine high -performance games, a proposal that brings together athletes from all over the country in the city, and also in Santa Fe and Rafaela. Among athletes, coaches and judges more than three thousand people will participate to star in Olympic and Paralympic competitions.
In the city, the competitions will distribute in different venues, which include the Racecourse, the Municipal Stadium, the former Rural Fairground, the Science Square, the Lotuf complex, Pueyrredón Squash, Rosario Arena Sports, and the provincial, university, jockey, nautical, gymnastics and fencing and fencing and Newell’s clubs.
In the former rural there will be taekwondo competitions, judo, table tennis, weightlifting, boxing, beach volleyball and beach handball. The Athletics, Artistic Skating and Speed Skating Days will take place at the Municipal Stadium. In the racecourse you will play baseball 5 and archery.
In Science Square 3×3 basketball. In gymnastics and fencing, hockey, rugby 7 and tennis matches will take place. In Newell’s those of Handball and Sports Shot. The fencing tournament will take place at the University. In Jockey the golf, equestrian and modern pentathlon. In Huracán the ball tournament. In Nautical the volleyball competitions. In Pueyrredón Squash the Squash tournament. And in the city museum chess. Today, on the first day of competition, there will be activity in Bádminton, Gymnastics and Artistic Skating, Pentathlon, Arch, volleyball, chess and beach volleyball.
In Santa Fe, rowing and booting activities will be developed in the Setúbal Laguna, with the emblematic suspension bridge as a background scenario. While Triathlon will have the Laguna Setúbal and the Costanera as a landscape. Rafaela, meanwhile, will receive five Cycling Route on National Route 34, Track cycling at the Héctor Cassina Velodrome, while Mountain Bike cycling will be held at the local autodrome facilities.
