A significant shift in athletic apparel is on the horizon for a prominent European football club. After months of speculation, reports indicate that the team will be switching its kit supplier from Puma to Mizuno, a Japanese sportswear giant, starting with the upcoming season.This move marks the end of a partnership that began in 2021.
The biggest rapid players ever
Sources suggest that the primary driver behind this change was a lack of flexibility in Puma’s ordering system. Specifically, issues arose with the procurement of additional jerseys, particularly after the unveiling of a new all-white third kit. The inability to quickly reorder or secure sufficient stock proved to be a recurring challenge.
With Mizuno, the club anticipates an improved experience. While the Japanese brand is well-known for its dominance in the running shoe market, it also produces high-quality football footwear. Across Europe, Mizuno outfits notable clubs such as AS Monaco, under the management of coach Adi Hütter, as well as Lazio Rome and FC Augsburg. Football icon Sergio Ramos serves as a prominent brand ambassador for Mizuno. Furthermore,it is understood that Mizuno presented a compelling financial offer to secure the partnership.
The current agreement with Puma, which commenced in 2021, will conclude after a five-year tenure, making way for the new collaboration with Mizuno.
