Montreal, September 10, 2025 – Basketball girls will be highlighted as part of the new Quebec basketball scholarship program at the Aleo Foundation. As of this fall, five scholarships of $ 2,000 will be given to players embodying leadership in their team and in their basketball community.
Initiated by Basketball Québec, this scholarship program aims to encourage student-athletes evolving in a collegiate team in division 1 or academic and demonstrating the qualities of leader with their teammates, but also in their immediate environment.

Bourse Robert Comeau
As part of the program Give the next Another basketball scholarship was created this year from the Aleo Foundation. The Comeau family becomes a donor of the Robert Comeau scholarship, in honor of the Patriarch, an emblematic figure of basketball in Quebec.
This scholarship will be given each year to a student hope in basketball, combining the great sporting talent and leadership in the heart of its team. The first Robert Comeau scholarship will be handed over as part of a significant basketball event in the coming months.
Robert Comeau is the co -founder of the Quebec Basketball Federation and was the chief coach of the Quebec Gold medalist teams from 1971 and 1975 at the Canada Games. His vision of basketball in Quebec was ahead of his time.
