Valdepeñas has hosted this Saturday, within the framework of the wine parties, the first basketball veteran tournament, an appointment that brought together teams from different parts of the province distributed in two groups.
The Puertollano Basketball Club was part of Group B, where it played three intense meetings against high -level rivals. The final balance was very positive for the Puertollaneros, who achieved two victories and only a defeat, showing an excellent collective game, companionship and a high competitive level.
Although an outcome with a confrontation was planned among the best classified of each group, the organization decided to terminate the tournament before the final for reasons of time. In this way, the championship closed without an official winner, being evident that the real triumph was coexistence, the reunion between veterans and the passion for basketball.
The Veterans Basketball Club Puertollano thanks the organization of the event, the City of Valdepeñas and all the participating teams for the magnificent reception and hopes to repeat experience to continue promoting this sport so beautiful that they unite them.
