Porto players celebrated the classification
The Paulista U-20 Series B Championship met its first finalist this Friday (12). Porto Football beat Joseense 2-1 at the João do Pulo Poliesportivo Centro Stadium, in São José dos Campos, and guaranteed access to the category elite of 2026.
In the first leg, the Porto Ferreira team had already won 2-1 and entered the field with the advantage of the draw. Even so, it ended up winning the home team.
Even playing away from home and being advantageous for winning the first -time game, Porto Football surprised Joseense and went up, opening the marker with 13 minutes with Ryan Henrique. At 27 ‘, Luiz Augusto expanded to visitors, who went to the interval winning 2-0.
In the second stage, Joseense went to ‘all or nothing’, trying to reverse the situation. At 7 minutes, reading Gabriel decreased the count. Then the home team tried to score anyway, but Porto Football held the result, guaranteed access.
Now, the Porto team awaits the definition of the other semifinal, which takes place this Saturday (13), at 15h, at Benedito Teixeira Stadium, in São José do Rio Preto. In the first match, SC Paulinense beat America 1-0, playing in Paulínia. The team plays for a draw to secure the place in the final and access, while America must win by two goals difference to move forward without the need for penalty shootout. The two finalist teams of the Paulista U-20 Series B 2025, in addition to competing for the title of the competition, have a place guaranteed in the elite of the category and will play the Paulista U-20 Series A in 2026.
