Bare Knuckle Boxing – Boxing without gloves – is a growing phenomenon both abroad and in Sweden.
Here it is illegal and galas are arranged underground in secret place, often by the organization Knuckle Sports Promotion, KSP.
Last Friday, “Fight Night 11” took place in Haninge on the outskirts of Stockholm. In addition to several Bare Knuckle matches, the gala contained Sweden’s first female Lethwei match.
Lethwei is a sport that has been called “the world’s most dangerous” – it allows punches, kicks and scrapes, without protection and gloves.

On site during the event were celebrities such as actor Mikael Persbrandt, the porn king Berth Milton and the influencer Johannes “Leonidas” Ulmefors and Josefine Ottosson, according to pictures in social media where they can be seen together.

Social media also shows supporters from the White Boys, the Stockholm section of the Nazi group of active club. On videos from the event you can see a person scan “White Boys” while a prominent member from the group-20-year-old Gustav Blomberg-is fought in the ring.

Police patrols got news about the latest gala and showed up outside the premises, Hilton confirms.
“Yes, there were quite a few. For a martial arts event on a Friday night when so much other crap happens in society. There was no dialogue with them this time but in the past they have praised us for having order among our visitors.”
After the gala, Gustav Blomberg published an Instagram image together with a White Boys banner.

KSP’s Patrick Hilton sees no problems with letting an active club member be fought.
“We do not put values in such.
Johannes Leonidas, who has commented on the image with the White Boys banner, explains that he did not know that Blomberg belongs to a right-wing group.
“I was there to look at the event and what people’s private opinions I have no idea. There were 12 fighters there and significantly larger groups where I had a better look at”he writes in an email.
