Nationale 3: BC Kemperle Leads After Cholet Win

National 3 Badminton: BC Kemperle dominates Ba Cholet in Season Opener

The National 3 badminton season kicked off with a commanding performance from BC Kemperle, who secured a decisive 6-2 victory over Ba Cholet on Saturday. This strong start positions BC Kemperle at the top of their group, capitalizing on favorable results from other matches, including a draw between Guichen and Rezé, and a narrow 5-3 win for Challans over Trégunc.

BC KemperleS success was fueled by a blend of emerging talent and solid doubles play. The team showcased its depth with four promising young players each winning their singles matches. The momentum was further amplified by victories in two doubles contests: the mixed doubles, clinched by Johanka Ivanovicová and Ewen Pérès, and the women’s doubles, where Malvy Pelleter and Amélie leteneur triumphed in a hard-fought three-set thriller. While Ba Cholet put up a valiant effort, their wins were notably anchored by the formidable Samy Corvée, a player recognized for his proximity to the world’s top 100.

Setting the Bar high for Promotion

BC Kemperle has clearly signaled its ambitions for the season, aiming for promotion to N2 and ultimately the upper division. Starting the season with a victory was crucial for us, stated President Jacky Hamoniaux. We were also excited to welcome our new Czech player, Katerina Koliášová, who had a promising debut, playing two solid matches. The team will look to carry this winning momentum into their next fixture,a highly anticipated local derby against neighbors Trégunc on October 18th.
