HEESCH – What a party was at MHC Heesch last weekend! The hockey club celebrated its 40th anniversary with a packed program for young and old. Already on Saturday morning, August 30, the club site colored festively yellow and blue, complete with balloons, a balloon arch and cheerful music. All youth teams were immortalized under the bow, the photos will soon have a nice place in the clubhouse.

For the children there was plenty of entertainment: a gigantic storm track provided pleasure at the start of the competition, and the sausage sandwiches could not be dragged. “We have never purchased so many sausages,” said the organization. At the end of the afternoon the traditional drink began, which seamlessly turned into a barbecue and a bustling party evening. First outside, later inside, where even the tables were danced. And if that wasn’t special enough, two boas also made a short stop to party.

The big reunion was on the program on Sunday 31 August. The reunion started with a warm word by alderman Marius Tielemans. More than 150 to 160 (former) members came together, including members of the first hour from 1985. Old stories were shared, memories were collected and there was toast with Champagne; Not only on the past, but especially on the future of the club.

The Frietkar provided a tasty ending of an unforgettable weekend. MHC Heesch looks back with pride and gratitude on two days full of pleasure, connectedness and club pride. And we thank Lisette Gerrits and Renée Sinke, the anniversary committee and the core group for the great organization. On to the next 40 years!
