tvOnenews.com – The name Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, a women’s volleyball athlete from Indonesia, again became the center of world attention after officially joining a Turkish club, Manisa BBSK, for the 2025-2026 season.

The club will appear in the first division of the Turkish Volleyball League, or known as Sultanlar Ligi.

Megawati’s presence became a hot topic in local and international media.

But interestingly, the Turkish media refused to use the nickname “Megatron”, the name that was previously attached to him while playing in the Korean League with Daejeon Jungkwanjang Red Sparks.

Instead, Turkish media actually gives a new identity.
