Luxembourg Football: Injury Crisis Before Blueberries Clash

The coach carrying the national hopes of Luxembourg with 33 people on board overturned Thursday evening in Brittany, making eight injured, said the firefighters and the prefecture of Morbihan.

There are no injuries in absolute emergency, the firefighters said to AFP, stating that the wounded being evacuating towards hospitals in the region.

The bus was “found lying on the side in the ditch” near Languidic (Morbihan) on the national road 24, the firefighters said, who hired significant rescue means. The coach had 32 people on board and the driver.

The Luxembourg Espoirs team must face the French Hopes team on Friday in Lorient at the Moustoir stadium as part of the qualifications for Euro 2027. No information has been communicated at this stage on the maintenance or not of the meeting.
