Ludvig Åberg, 25, has been tough on Green this year.
However, a new putter seems to have done the trick.
The Swede is in the top match on the DP World Tour, where he offered a monster putt.
The Swedish golf star has been criticized for her game with Puttern this season. For this competition, the Swede has acquired a new one and it seems to have produced results.
After an introductory bogey, it became Birdie on each and every hole, a total of nine. This meant a 64 round on the scoreboard and minus eight in total.
– A very effective score. I probably didn’t have much more to give. But of course super happy with the result and satisfied with how I played today, says Ludvig Åberg in Viaplay.
On the 17th hole, he then stood for the absolute highlights of a round.
After a recording, Åberg chose to put from Fairway, 15 meters from the hole, and the battle went in – the Swede celebrated with a finger up in the air.
Just after he had knocked out on the 18th hole, the competition was interrupted due to the risk of thunder but it was resumed after just over an hour and Åberg could end with a birdie.
He is at the time of writing (the competition is in progress) divided one together with Tom Vaillant.
Star -studded competition
Åberg went out early on Thursday where several other top players participate, including Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose, Rory Mcilroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Jon Rahm.
Alex Norén, who recently won the British Masters, also participates in the Swedish road. Joakim Lagergren, who finished second on the DP World Tour last week, as well as Marcus Kinhult and Simon Forsström.
The competition is a genre for the Ryder Cup, which is played September 26-28.
