Livakovic: Girona FC’s New Goalkeeper

Girona FC and Fenerbahçe SK have reached an agreement for the assignment of the international goalkeeper Croatian Dominik Livaković until the end of the season.

Born in Zadar on January 9, 1995, Livaković arrives in Montilivi after a consolidated career in the European elite. Formed at the NK Zagreb, where he debuted in the First Croatian League in the 2012-13 season, defended the club’s goal for four seasons before signing for the Dinamo de Zagreb. With the Croatian capital, he played about 300 official matches and conquered eleven titles, becoming a key piece both in the domestic league and in European competitions. In 2023 he began a new stage at Fenerbahçe, a club from which he proceeds. With the Turkish team, Livaković has played 74 games (including 57 of the Super League of Turkey, 6 of Europa League, 6 more of Conference League and 5 classification for the Champions League) in which he left his goal to zero on 26 occasions.

Recognized for their safety under sticks, their reflexes and their capacity in the penalty batches, Livaković has been the protagonist of decisive moments with the Croatian team. International Absolute since 2016, he was part of the world’s runner -up team in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and was one of the great names of Catar 2022, with memorable stops that promoted Croatia to the semifinals.

With his arrival, Girona FC reinforces the goal with a contrasted footballer and extensive international experience.
