The arrival of Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers was to symbolize a new promising era. However, to believe several sources, this strategic choice would have sown in internal doubt. While LeBron James approaches the end of his career, his obsession remains unchanged: raising the Larry O’Brien trophy again. But this operation could have disrupted its calendar and created an unexpected tension with management.

LeBron, who enters his 23rd NBA season, no longer hides his priorities. For him, each season without an additional ring is a lost year. However, the integration of Dončić, although carrier of the future, seems to be more part of a long -term project than in an emergency of immediate results. At 40, the “King” wants each decision of the organization to be oriented towards the title, and nothing else.
