Yesterday it was announced that Ajax is saying goodbye to Brian Brobbey. The 23-year-old striker leaves for Sunderland. Technical director Alex Kroes thinks it is a wise choice for both parties.
“Brian arrived in the training at the age of eight and eventually played more than 150 games for the first team. He has often been important in this and we are therefore grateful to him for his efforts and performance,” says Kroes on the club website.
“With his departure we say goodbye to a self -assured and energetic player, but at the same time this transfer is now a sporting and financial level now a wise choice for both parties. We have thanked Brian and desired all success in his next step to Sunderland,” he concludes.
