Various initiatives with a contribution have already been helped in recent months. For example, a busy neighborhood women’s morning was organized in Benederkerk (Stolwijk), several neighborhood parties were created and work is being done on a social sofa in Lekkerkerk.

Projects about the greening of the environment and a village stories project also received support.

Images that refer to the surroundings

The social sofa on the Opperduit in Lekkerkerk is one of the most eye -catching examples.

Initiators Connie, Françoise and Heleen work together with the local neighborhood association and local residents on a mosaic bank that gets a permanent place in the neighborhood. “Meet the donation of Krimpenerwaard made it possible to really start our plan,” said the initiators.

About twenty local residents, from young to old, help the design and implementation. Motives are applied to the couch that refer to the environment, such as the leak, cows in the meadow and even a crayfish. “Everyone does a piece. It’s great that all ages participate and that the project brings people together.”
