Krawietz/Pütz US Open Exit: Tennis Doubles Disappointment

Last year Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz narrowly missed the title at the US Open. This time you will not do justice to your co -favorite role.

New York (dpa) – One year after their final in the US Open, Tim Pütz and Kevin Krawietz experienced a disappointment in the double competition of the tennis tournament in New York. The German Davis Cup duo left 4: 6, 4: 6 against Michael Venus from New Zealand and Yuki Bhambri in the round of 16.

The Frankfurter Pütz and the Coburger Krawietz were four at the Grand Slam tournament, their opponents in 14th place on the seed list. With the title coup at the ATP Finals last November, Krawietz and Pütz celebrated their greatest success so far.

With the German Davis Cup selection, the two compete against host Japan on September 12 and 13 in the second qualification round in Tokyo.
