The roar of the crowd and the thwack of shuttlecocks signal the start of a thrilling season for the Kemperle Badminton Club (BCK), a team already making its mark at the pinnacle of the national 3 league. After a near-miss promotion last season, where they clinched third place in the accession dams for National 2, the BCK is not just aiming for the top – they’re determined to conquer it in the 2025-2026 season.

The club’s sights are firmly set on joining the prestigious Nationale 2 next spring. This ambitious goal hinges on securing a first-place finish in their group stage. We achieved this feat last year, but during the accession dams, we faced formidable international teams, which necessitated strengthening our squad, explained President Jacky Hamoniaux. To bolster their ranks, BCK has welcomed Czech talent Katerina Koliášová and Hungarian duo Zsofi Szabo and Milán Mesterházy. These international stars join the Slovakian powerhouse Johanka Ivanovicová, who is now in her third season with the club, adding a potent blend of experience and fresh energy.
