Kekava Florists Bauska: Win Ends Losing Streak

The first victory after the loss of the season in the first three games of the Latvian Volleyball League tournament was won last season’s bronze winner “Kekava/RB & B” football players who lost to the Bauska team.

The success of the Kekavians came difficult. After the fight, they were in the lead with one goal (2: 1, 3: 2), they lost 3: 4 in the middle of the third. One and a half minutes later, however, the visitors managed to equalize, but after another two minutes, it turned out to be 5: 4. Tom Keiran threw two balls to the winners.

In the Super League table “Kekava/RB & B” florbolists have overtaken the bullies and climbed to eighth place (3 points). Fourth place in four rounds is the “Start” volleyball club (p. 6), while the leaders are champions “Masters Ulbroka”/LU (p. 12).

The Masters Ulbroka team won their second victory in the Latvian First League tournament over the weekend. In their field against Liepaja’s “Kurši”, the home side eliminated a three -goal deficit in the second third (4: 4 after 0: 3 and 1: 4), played in the third of the score 4: 6 and 6: 7 and scored a win, with Renārs Liepiņš. Markus Sanders outscored the Hettrick with the Ulbrock team, Liepiņš (2+2) and Gustavs Liešniņš (0: 4).

The Saulkalne/Salaspils volleyball club started the season with two losses. In Kuldiga against KNSS/Linde Group, the Salaspils scored first, but lost 1: 5 after the first third, 1:10 in the middle of the third period and only slightly reduced the gap – 5:12 (Christ Bitenbinder 3+0).

The second failure also for the Ulbroka Volleyball Club in the Second League of Latvia. Like the Salaspils, they were the first to take the lead against FC Varmme/Produs, but then scored four goals in a row and finally conceded 3: 7 (Roland Līduma 1+1).
