A versatile defender
On the side of the Buffalos, Ivan Leko needed new blood in defense. Earlier in the day, we learned that Jean-Kévin Duverne was expected to occupy this vacant position. In the meantime, the agreement seems to have been concluded in time, because the club has just officially presented the 28-year-old Haitian via his official canals.
The player, who has ten selections in the national team and who has spent the last six months at the KV Courtrai, is loaned by FC Nantes. The agreement does not seem to include any purchase option.
Ghent loop his transfer window
“Duverne is a player who combines speed and power. Last season, he showed that he could also be important as a defender, with goals and assists, “said Leko. “His experience, especially in Belgium, is an asset,” continues the coach.
“With Skoras, we recruited a versatile player in attack, and Duverne is just as versatile in defense. Thanks to its size, power and speed, it brings an athletic dimension to defense, ”adds Operational Director Kjeld Fort.
