Isac Lidberg Injury Update: Condition & Recovery

Nasty scenes were played in the training match between Rögle and Växjö.
Isac Solberg, 20, was rolled out on stretcher after a tackle by Växjö’s Brian Cooper.

“Isac is awake and talkable. He has been given a found concussion and will move on to Helsingborg’s laser for further investigation,” Rögle writes.

During Thursday evening, Rögle and Växjö were set against each other for a training match in Ängelholm. Rögle then convinced and went up in a 3-0 lead in the second period before Växjö received a reduction to 3-1.

In the third period, nasty scenes were then played in Catena Arena. Rögletalangen Isac Solberg, who has impressed the preseason, chases after a puck in the offensive zone down at the coffin behind the extended finish line. Then Växjöbacken Brian Cooper goes in and distributes a naughty tackle from behind on Solberg whose head is pressed into the coffin. Isac Solberg falls down to the ice and is motionless for a while while the Rögle players show their anger towards Cooper after the tackle.

Solberg was lying on the ice for a long time and healthcare professionals also had to enter the ice to look after the forward. A stretcher then entered the ice and the 20-year-old was then rolled off the ice on the stretcher. Brian Cooper also had to leave the ice when he was awarded a match penalty after the tackle at Solberg.

After the end of the match, Rögle then came up with an update on the 20-year-old’s status.

Rögle then won the match 4-2.
