“Although, despite all possible factual reservations, we understand that this is a tabloid medium. However, this fact should not allow the publication of completely fictional and purposeful information,” the club states.
“That is why we decided to take the editorial office of Sport journalistic accreditation to our home games. Our goal is not to limit the freedom of words, but to protect the integrity of our clubs.”
According to Slavia, Pilsen and Baník, the same attitude is taken by other clubs. “In the last days, Zbrojovka Brno has also taken the accreditation to the editor of Sport.
Diary
The editor -in -chief of the sport Tomek in reaction He said it was the efforts of Slavia’s bosses Jaroslav Tvrdík and Pilsen Adolf Šádek to write to journalists according to their ideas.
“We consider such an approach to be dangerous especially for Czech football and public debate about it. If any of the club officials have an effort to reduce the work of the media that are not obedient to them, it is a step towards the semi -touch concept of the world in which free journalism, as we know it, has no place.
Opinion of the Sports Journalists Club
The club of sports journalists strongly rejects any way of pressure on the independence of the media. If someone feels that the ethical code is violated, then it has the opportunity to contact the KSN ethical commission, which has not occurred. Similarly, the journalist should be bound by the rules of this code in his work, so he also has the right to access information and will always defend the KSN. Source here.
“We are also concerned that Jaroslav Tvrdík has recently used several completely false claims to the Sport daily,” said the editor -in -chief of Sport.
“He spoke falsely about our work and internal editorial standards. Such statements had nothing to do with reality, and they just strengthen our impression that Jaroslav Tvrdík’s main goal is not a factual debate, but an effort to defame and weaken the media that is not subject to manipulation and pressure.”
At the same time, he refused that there would be a non -standard connection of Sport with Sparta, which Tvrdík hints.
FAČR reaction
After today’s meeting of the Executive Committee, the chairman of the Czech Football Association called David Trunda called for everything to deal with a calm head.
“Unfortunately, the situations that are now do not help much. It is important to name where the problem arose. It should be calmed down and I would like to be able to contribute in some way to the whole association,” Trunda said.
In the election campaign before election, he said he gained personal experience that the media environment in the Czech Republic is sometimes very bad.
“The line between the truth and the false, speculation and lies is sometimes terribly thin. This must be distinguished. When something is not true, it will not only hit the player, but also their families, partners.
