The 34-year-old has signed a contract with the Turkish champion until the end of the 2026-27 season. Gündogan had a year of contract with the City, but he can leave, since the Turkish signing market is open until September 12.
In his farewell speech, Gundagan said that Manchester City will always occupy a special place in his heart. He added that his passage through the Etihad had brought him many unforgettable successes and memories, especially the season of the triplet in which he had the honor of captaining the team.

Born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, in a family of Turkish ancestry, Gündogan has won five Premier League titles with Manchester City, in addition to the Champions League 2022-23 trophy. He previously played at Bochum, Nuremberg and Borussia Dortmund.
