The Greek national basketball team won the quarter-finals against Lithuania at the European Championship. With an 87: 76 victory, Greece is in the semi-finals of an EM for the first time in 16 years.
In the first quarter, Greece went into the break with a tour of 24:19 against Lithuania after the team initially had starting difficulties. The Greeks were also able to take the lead in the second quarter (20:19), but the team from Lithuania kept managing to assert themselves. With 20:14 the third part of the game went back to the Greeks. The last quarter also narrowly won Greece with 24:23 and was therefore able to move into the semi -finals.
Greece meets Türkiye in the semifinals
The game between Lithuania and Greece was a duel at eye level on paper. Lithuania is currently taking number six in the European ranking, Greece is only two places below. In the last four clash in front of this quarter -finals there were two victories for both teams.
Greece is opposed to Turkey in the semi -finals. The Turkish national team had previously won 91:77 against Poland. Germany meets in the quarterfinals in Slovenia on Wednesday. In the event of a victory, Germany could hit the winner of the game between Finland and Georgia on Friday in the semi -finals.
