Golden Ball Awards: Live Stream & How to Watch

The traditional award of the Golden Ball, delivered by the magazine France Footballit happens this Monday (22), directly from the Théâtre Du Châtelet, in Paris, France. The ceremony begins at 16h (Brasília).

The current edition is the 68th of the ceremony, which takes place since 1956 and was not held in 2020, due to the pandemic.

The magazine has already announced the list of 30 nominees to the main prize, which enshrines the best player of the 2024/25 season. In it, Brazilians appear Raphinha e Vinicius Jr. The first, however, is more quoted and will probably be in the first places, next to his Barcelona, Lamine Yamaland Ousmane Dembélé, from Paris Saint-Germain.

The largest winner of the Golden Ball is Lionel Messiwith eight trophies, followed by Cristiano Ronaldowith five.

In addition to the main men’s category, the Golden Ball will also reward the best player in the world, where Marta and Amanda Gutierres are among those nominated. Aitana Bonmat and Alexia patellas emerge as favorites.

On the Yashin trophy, which awards the best goalkeeper, Alisson is one of the candidates, but is not a favorite either. Another dispute in which Brazilians compete is at the Kopa trophy, dedicated to young under-21, where Stephen is among the nominees.

Already Botafogo is one of the candidates in the category of best team of the year and coach Arthur Elias, of the Brazilian women’s team, competes for the best coach trophy.

Where to watch the 2025 Golden Ball?

The 2025 Golden Ball award will take place in Paris this Monday, from 16h (Brasília time). The ceremony will be broadcast by TNT (closed TV).
