Numerous clubs use the international break for test games. Two traditional clubs meet in Mönchengladbach.
Borussia Mönchengladbach defeated FC Schalke 04 in a test game. The eleven of the Lower Rhine, who was still winless in the Bundesliga after two games, prevailed 2-0 (1-0) against the second division team. Luca Netz (6th minute) and Franck Honorat (54th) scored the gates in front of a little less than 2,000 spectators on a side place in the Borussia park.
However, the Gladbachers worried an action. Right -back Joe Scally had to be replaced early. The 22-year-old could not continue playing in the 18th minute.
