2026 World Cup European Qualification matches will begin in March 2025 in groups with 5 teams and in September 2025 in 4 -team groups. All qualifying group matches will be completed in November 2025.
In accordance with the structure of UEFA’s new national team competitions, the 2026 World Cup European qualifiers and the expanded format of the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League will be played in parallel in March and June 2025.
Although 54 teams will participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup European Qualification, 24 of these teams UEFA Nations League in March 2025 Quarter Final or play-off matches. Four winners of the quarter -final matches will compete in the UEFA Nations League Finals in June.
In the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 48 teams will compete in 12 groups and 104 matches will be held during the organization. The opening match of the tournament will be played on 11 June 2026 at the Azteca Stadium of 83,000 people in Mexico, Mexico. The final match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held on July 19, 2026 at the Metlife Stadium of 82,500 people in New Jersey, USA.
