And 8! The beautiful French harvest continues in the canton of Valais in Switzerland at the world mountain bike championship. This Thursday, the French mixed relay team became world champion. A first since 2021.
The mixed relay was made up of three men and three women. It was first Adrien Boichis, still U 23, who launched the race with a third place 17 seconds from the Swiss. Junior Lucas Test made it possible to grab a place to find himself second behind Italy 20 seconds late. The first woman, Loana Lecomte did the job while retaining her place 25 seconds behind the Italian relay.

Everything changes when Olivia Ones (U 23) allows France to take orders 27 seconds ahead of Italy. The junior Lise revol completes her tour in second position four seconds from Italy. During the last relay, Joshua Dubau allows France to win in 1h05′14 ′ ‘leaving the Italians 34 seconds behind and Switzerland (3rd) at 1′33 ′’.
It is the 17th medal for France which is at the top of the Table of Medals with 8 in gold, 3 in silver and 6 bronze. France has 5 gold medals in advance on the United States (3-1-1), Canada (3-0-3) and Austria (3-0-1).
