Mykhailo Mudryk, a former Ukrainian football star recruited at 100 million euros by Chelsea in 2023, experienced a real descent into hell. After a disappointing freelance in the London club (54 games for 5 goals), it was controlled positive for a prohibited substance, the meldonium, and suspended provisionally in June. He risks 4 years of suspension. The Ukrainian, however, promises to have never taken a prohibited product.

According to Marca, he is currently training with the Ukrainian sprint team in order to participate in the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028. Flashed at 36.67 km/h maximum speed, nothing says that he will have the capacity to perform in athletics, the technique being very different. He is still under contract with the London club, until 2031. Pending his judgment after providing a second sample, Mudryk has in any case found a way to maintain his form and keeps a high ambition whether in football or in athletics.
