There was rare a gripping scene like this: goalkeeper Dieter Vanzebroeck from Borsbek is fighting for the ball with Eupens Merveille Bokadi and Daniel Kasper. Photo: Belga
The AS Eupen did not spill fame on Saturday against KVC de Toekomst Borsbeke from the 1st Provincial Class East Flanders. The black and white only won 1-0 in the 1/32 final of the state cup. They even shot two penalty.
AS trainer Bruno Pinheiro turned his supposed Hampen fold over to this cup game. So it was completely surprising in the goal of the black and white. They had actually expected Renner as Hiller replacement. The Ghanaer should probably be rewarded for services.
The Swiss midfielder Barès was also in the initial firmation. Bitumazala also reported back after a long injury break.

Surprisingly, the guests from Borsbek had the first clear chance, when Nurudeen was challenged for the first time.
The east flams were determined to sell themselves as expensive as possible.
Eupens Kasper had the greatest chance until then, but they missed the ball. In the 20th minute it worked for the AS, when Bitumazala put the favorite in the lead, 1-0.
At the beginning of the second half, Eupen changed: Youndje and Caliskan came for busquets and barès.
Borsbeke continued well, the four-class difference was rarely noticeable. In addition, the guests with goalkeeper Vanzebroeck had a strong support. In the 61st minute, Youndje had a great opportunity for a second goal.

While there were further change at AS, Borsbek’s coach van den Bossche waived a change until the beginning of the final phase.
In the 77th minute, Eupen was awarded a penalty after a foul on the substitute Atteri. Atteri himself explained the penalty, but not even this opportunity knew how to use the AS, because the outstanding Vanzebroeck parried the ball in the gate of the guests.
That gave the east flam again. Borsbeke immediately came to two chances, which luckily were only thwarted by Nurudeen and then Plastun for Eupen.
In added time, Müller failed due to Borsbeke Keeper Vanzebroeck, undoubtedly the game player. Then there was a second penalty for the Eupener, who could have increased to 2-0 and could have shaped the result a little more bearable. However, Paeshuyse, who had come into play for the injured Kennedy in the course of the second half. So it stayed with the little glorious 1-0.
If the AS Eupen will meet in the 1/16 final, the draw on Monday is decided. In the championship, the black and white must compete with the Francs Borains next Saturday, who, incidentally, have lost 1: 2 in the Croky Cup in Ninove (1st amateur league) and have therefore already left. (CRE)
