Eredivisie Schedule: KNVB Announces Changes & Classic Fixtures

Due to the six active clubs in a European context, the KNVB has implemented changes in the play schedule of the Eredivisie. This gives the teams in question more rest after or for European competitions. The changes vary from round five to twelve. The schedule of round of play thirteen to 21 has also been announced.

After the European drawings, clubs were able to submit a request for a change in the schedule. This in the hope of more rest time. PSV, Feyenoord and Go Ahead Eagles have each seen three games change of time. Ajax and AZ have two changed playing times, while in the case of FC Utrecht no changes has been made.

Three games get a different date. NEC – FC Twente and Heracles Almelo – Feyenoord exchange date, as a result of which the latter poster is now being completed on Sunday 19 October, instead of Saturday, October 18. As a result, Feyenoord has one day less peace for the Europa League match with Panathinaikos, but gives his internationals a day extra rest after the international break.

The game between PSV and Fortuna Sittard has shifted from Saturday 1 November to Friday 31 October. As a result, the Eindhoven players receive three rest days before the game in Greece against Olympiakos.

The KNVB has also announced the match days of the thirteen to 21 round. The classic will be played on Sunday, December 14 at 2.30 p.m. The squatter between PSV and Feyenoord will be played on February 1, 2026, also at 2.30 p.m.
