El Prat Airport Food: Aena Launches New Tenders

Hundreds of representatives of companies in the sector attended the Muerde Barcelona event, with which AENA presented this macroconcerts. The company has advanced that it wants to bet on “consolidated concepts in airports” such as burgers, spaces dedicated to ham, food marketscoffee shops, carried food establishments and healthy proposals. At the same time, Aena claims that he will continue to open his space to “new trends” such as a vermouth, a Japanese restaurant, gluten -free options and a 225 -square -meter premium restaurant led by a Michelin -star chef.

As a novelty, the airport manager will incorporate open concept premises, that is, in which there is no type of restaurant pre -established by AENA, “to give more flexibility to operators”. In the rest, the specifications specify the gastronomic offer to serve the companies that are presented. In addition, it will also bid three spaces of 40 square meters located at high -profit strategic points. In this regard, the area allocated to the terraces, especially in the north of the airport, has been expanded, which will be offered entirely with a contract for the next twelve years as a space with restaurants and entertainment that can also include stores, events and leisure.
