The giant “gas bag” on the shore of Dongsha Lake is about to open to welcome guests, including badminton courts, tennis courts, and basketball courts.
A giant “gas bag” on the southeast side of Dongsha Lake Park will officially start trial operation during the National Day. This is the first air membrane sports hall in Qiantang District that is open to the public, with three major sports areas: badminton court, tennis court and basketball court.
What is the difference between the air membrane sports hall and the traditional gymnasium?
“The venue adopts an air-bearing membrane structure, and the entire dome is made of a high-strength fireproof membrane as the ‘shell’. The internal air pressure is maintained through intelligent boosting equipment, and the membrane body is supported to form the main body of the building without steel frame support. The construction period is short and the wind and earthquake resistance is strong.” The project leader introduced.
The three major sports areas are equipped with anti-glare lighting and intelligent temperature control systems, built-in dual-machine redundant fresh air system, and air replacement 12 times per hour. The museum is also equipped with an intelligent humidity control system, which can maintain a somatosensory comfort of 20-24℃, whether in the hot summer or cold winter.
According to the project leader, after the Dongshahu Air Membrane Sports Hall is put into use, a series of brand activities will be held to incubate local sports IP, introduce sports brand pop-up stores and healthy light food markets, and create a new scenario of “sports + consumption”.
