From September 13 to 28, eleven teams of the Third Feb categories will measure their forces in this preseason tournament
Basketball is one of the most followed sports in the province of Almería and the Diputación de Almería, in collaboration with the Andalusian Federation of Basketball (FAB), has presented the Cup Diputación de Basketball 2025, which is the highest provincial competition before the official season in Almería. It is celebrated from September 13 to 28 and will be played in each of the pavilions of the participating clubs.
The vice president and deputy of Sports, José Antonio García, and the delegate of the Andalusian Basketball Federation in Almería, José Francisco Cara, have presented this preseason tournament that will bring together the main senior teams of the province in the third feb, male and female N1 categories. In total, eleven teams will participate: Ecoculture CB Almeria; Surseeds – B. Murgi – El Ejido; CB Byspania Tíjola; CD Roquetas BC; Huércal de Almería students; Cb la mojonera; CDB adra clinical calm; Vera Destination City; Editorial Red Circle – CD Roquetas BC; FOOD ANALYTICS EL TOYO AND CB LA MOJONERA.
The deputy of Sports stressed that “basketball is one of the sports with the greatest roots in our province and since the Diputación, together with the Andalusian Federation, we work to continue growing and consolidate. Our commitment is to expand and improve the offer to clubs and all people who wish to enjoy this sport, thus encouraging participation and quarry in all municipalities.”
“This new edition of the Diputación in Senior category is one more step in that path, since it will be played in three categories: Third FEB, N1 Male and N1 female. We want to congratulate the clubs for their effort and dedication, because thanks to all the Almeria clubs they make the basketball have a great future in the province of Almería,” added the vice president and the deputy of Sports.
For his part, the delegate of the Andalusian Basketball Federation in Almería has detailed that “the Diputación Cup has always been a reference and a great preparation test for our teams before the start of the national leagues. This year we have a historical participation, with three teams in Third FEB, five in men in male and three in female N1, which implies a total of eleven sets that will dispute this provincial competition”.
“All teams will play several games in a more attractive format, far from the simple tie, which will allow them to reach the best conditions at the beginning of the League the first weekend of October. In addition, it will be played on all the courts of the participating clubs, becoming a real tribute to the fans and a basketball party in the province of Almería,” said José Francisco Cara.
The competition will begin on September 13 and will take place until September 28, official matches that will allow the teams to prepare the regular season and to enjoy high -level basketball.
Participation by categories remains like this. In Third Feb (male-national) 3 Almeria teams will participate: EcoCulture CB Almeria, Surseeds-B. Murgi-El Ejido and CB BYSPA-NIA Town. They will play a league of all against all in 3 days between September 13 and 28.
In the male (autonomic) category, it will have 5 teams: CD Roquetas BC, Huércal de Almería, CB La Mojonera, CDB Adra Clinical Calm and city of Vera Destination Vera. The meetings will be played in qualifying mode, but will face all clubs until September 28.
Finally, in the female N1 category (autonomous), Editorial Circle Red – CD Roquetas BC, Food Analytic and CB La Mojonera will participate, which will compete in a triangular league with a total of 3 days.
