Medellín, September 5, 2025 – at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium, the official firm of the willing agreement between the Medellín Independent Sports Club and the “Pareceros” program of the Mayor’s Office of Medellín was held. This alliance represents an exemplary model of articulation between the private sector and the social strategies of the local government, with the aim of generating real opportunities for training, employability and culture for young people in vulnerability.
Parceros is a strategy led by the Ministry of Security and Coexistence, aimed at providing comprehensive accompaniment to young people exposed to contexts of illegality, violence or exclusion. Through training, employability, culture and construction of life projects, the program seeks to offer them tools to transform their environments and build a decent future.
The alliance with the DIM It is framed in the commitment of the Club to the social development of Medellín, a city that represents with pride. This collaboration will allow football, beyond being a passion, becoming a platform for inclusion, training and generation of opportunities.
Labor link and specialized training
In its initial phase, the agreement contemplates the linking of 12 young people from the Pareceros program to strategic roles within the operation of the club during the game days. Participants will perform functions in three key areas:
• Tropa Dim Plus: orientation on ticket office, use of the Dim Plus app and club services.
• Commercial logistics: Support at points of sale, activations, rows management and direct attention to the public.
• Dim experience guides: Accompaniment in the tourist tour of the stadium, generating a differentiating experience for the attendees.
In addition to the work experience, young people will receive training and accompaniment in logistics of sporting events, digital and face -to -face customer service, technological tools, effective communication and fan experience protocols. These processes will be accompanied by psychosocial monitoring and certification of acquired competences.
During the event, María Paulina Patiño, director of the Pareceros program, said: “The articulation with the private sector is key for strategies such as pairs to have a real impact. We celebrate that the DIM joins this commitment to social transformation.”
For his part, Dania Giraldo, Vice President of the DIM, said: “Soccer has enormous potential to generate social impact. This alliance allows us to open doors, form young people and contribute to the development of our city from our sporting essence.”
The agreement will be an initial validity of one year, extendable by mutual agreement between the parties. During this period, it is expected to consolidate the model as a replicable strategy in other sports and cultural scenarios of the city.
