Venezuelan Judo will compete in the Central Americans and the Caribbean 2025

06/09/25.- The Venezuelan Judocas Delegation that will participate in the Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) 2025, which start this Saturday in San Salvador, capital of El Salvador, is already ready to settle their first fighting.
The Judocas Anriquelis Barrios (-63 kilograms), Olympic diploma for their fifth place in Tokyo 2020, and Karen Léon, also Olympic, lead the Creole team in the women’s category. They are also in the Eliana Aguiar team (-70), Gabriela Miranda (-48) and Zunilda Chávez (-78).
Barrios, who occupies the 55th position of the world ranking, will face the Mexican prisca Awiti, number 28 of the universal ranks, in the category of -63 K. While the Judoca León, who was away from the competitions and its last official fight was in July 2022, returns to resume its place in the region, when it is measured in the +78 kg to the Salvadoran Izayana Marenco, 46 in the ranking.
In the male category, Willis García, Pan American Champion of the Games of Santiago de Chile 2023, and Luis Amezquita, winner of the Pan American Open of Santo Domingo (2023), lead the Creole team, details the Mindort website.
Garcia will be measured in -66 kilos while Amezquita will do the same in +100 kilograms. The Judocas Andrés Pariche (-73) and Jonheluis Patete (-90) and Angelo Urbano (-60) are present in the competition for Venezuela.
The Judocas who participated in the recent Pan American Junior 2025 Games, held in Asunción de Paraguay, will also compete in the Salvadoran capital, to look for points that ensure their classification to the next CAC Santo Domingo 2026.
Audreys Pacheco was the best positioned by the Creole in the Juniors, when hanging a silver medal in the -57 kilos, and Leomaris Ruiz, winner of a bronze metal in the category of 52 kilos. They will have as a goal to improve or match their participation as Paraguay, to increase their possibilities of obtaining classification.
For the male category, Luis Pariche, in the 81 kilos and Samuel Corzo, in the -100 kilograms, also appeared as the best third parties of the Junior 2025 games in their respective classifications, and will be in action this weekend.
The fighting that will take place between Saturday and Sunday, will have as its scenario the Palace of Sports of the National Sports Institute, of El Salvador.
