The badminton world is buzzing as the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings have been released, and the South Korean powerhouse duo, Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-Jae, continue too dominate the men’s doubles circuit.
Kim and seo have solidified their position at the pinnacle of the sport, proving their world No. 1 ranking is no fluke. Their recent triumph at the 2025 China Masters further cemented their dominance. The dynamic Korean pair clinched the title by defeating the formidable Indian duo, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, in a hard-fought match that concluded in straight games, 21-19, 21-15.
Following their notable victory, Kim and Seo remain firmly entrenched at the top of the BWF rankings. this week’s release shows the South korean pair holding a commanding lead with a total of 113,005 points, a testament to their consistent high-level performances.
While kim and Seo maintain their stronghold, the Indian challengers, Rankireddy and Shetty, have also seen a positive shift in their standing. The runners-up of the 2025 China masters have climbed one spot in the rankings, now occupying the sixth position. This ascent sees them edge past the Indonesian stalwarts, Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
