Bozzano U15s: Silver Medal Success!

BRINDISI – A beautiful national showcase, which allowed the biancazzurre girls to acquire experience in the national field, and above all to be noticed by the experts. The Under 15 formation of the Polisportiva Bozzano closed the historian “Martinsicuro Golden Cup” in an almost triumphant way, a youth basketball classic. On the parquet of the charming town of Abruzzo, last week they faced each other, in an Italian group with a very final between the first two classified, historical companies of Italian women’s basketball: Angiulli Pink Bari, Panthers Roseto, Ancona Stamura and Basketball Frascati.

The biancazzurre of coach Rosaria Balsamo did not show referential fear in front of girls who, in their respective companies, also gravitate to Serie A2. An almost unexpected second place, which has consolidated the work in the gym and allowed the integration between the historical group and the new ones who arrived from the Lecce SBL.

It was an event full of emotions, friendship, fun and fair play, demonstrating once again how the sport knows how to combine and grow. In the Italian group with only first leg, laphereds and companions they conquered three successes, losing only against Frascati, who closed in the first place due to the difference in the baskets. In the final, the Romans, fresh from the Lazio regional title, had the better only in the final, at the end of a match followed by many observers interested in the performances of the Brindisi girls.

The tournament on the Teramo coast, in fact, was the last real official trial bench in view of the imminent competitive season, which sees the Polisportiva Bozzano prepared on the group that in these two years has won the regional Under14 title and last year has reached the Final Four, integrated by the new grafts coming from Lecce.
