João Noronha Lopes criticizes the use of electronic vote as a model of voting abroad and in the autonomous regions, provided for in the proposal of electoral regulation of the management of Benfica. The presidential candidate does not hide the ‘stuffing’ in relation to the point presented and recalls that the new statutes, approved by the partners of the incarnated in March, ‘do not foresee electronic vote as a rule’.
Noronha Lopes reiterates that the preparation “responsibly” of the “most participated elections in the club’s history” should be the focus of the General Assembly table, defending the “installation of ballot boxes throughout the national territory, and also in the autonomous and abroad regions”.
“Instead of mapping voting places, contacting houses of Benfica, hiring spaces and giving the partners clear information about where they can vote, it is preferred to feed an electoral leaflet with online voting promises that have no statutory base or consensus for advanced”, criticizes the candidacy led by Noronha Lopes, which is available to participate in the identification of voting sections in Portugal and not foreign.
“Our application has already been available to help identify and guarantee more than 40 voting sections in Portugal and abroad, as appointed by MAG in a meeting with the candidacies. So far, nothing is known about how MAG is going to ensure that Benfica’s maximum number of members can participate in the next elections. Benfica needs fair, transparent, reliable and accessible elections as many members as possible. From our part we will do everything to make this happen and for all the partners from Faro to Vila Real, from Guarda to Ponta Delgada, from Geneve to Newark to exercise the right to vote, ”says Noronha Lopes.
João Noronha Lopes reinforces the opposition to electronic vote to ensure “fair, transparent, reliable and affordable elections as many members as possible”.
João Noronha Lopes competes with João Diogo Manteigas, Martim Mayer, Cristóvão Carvalho, Rui Costa and Luis Filipe Vieira in the Benfica elections, scheduled for October 25.
