Beaune: Youth Sports & Epic Events

Athletics, badminton, rollerblading … Sports epics start for the first time at the start of the school year. This new device invites 6-12 year olds to test several disciplines for free thanks to the involvement of local clubs.

The city of Beaune opens a new sports page with the launch of sports epics for the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Intended for children aged 6 to 12, this free device allows you to discover different disciplines throughout the year in partnership with local associations.
Every Wednesday morning, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., young Beaunois will be able to learn a sporting activity in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Athletics, badminton, rollerblading, collective sports, orientation or even acrosport: so many opportunities to spend, have fun and open up to new practices.
This program constitutes a update of municipal initiation schools to sports activities (EMIAS), initiated several years ago by the mayor Alain Suguenot. The formula is adapted to current expectations, but the mind remains the same: giving each child the opportunity to try a variety of disciplines, in connection with the Beautiful clubs, to promote access to sport and awaken vocations.
The calendar of this first edition is as follows:
– Athletics at the Jean Desangle stadium, from September 10 to October 15.
– badminton at the white flowers gymnasium, from November 5 to December 17.
– Collective sports at the white flowers gymnasium, from January 7 to February 4.
– Circus and acrosport at the white flowers gymnasium, from February 25 to April 1.
– Orientation at the Michel Bon gymnasium, from April 22 to May 20.
– Roller at the white flower gymnasium, from June 3 to July 1.
Children can choose one or more periods depending on their desires.
