Ballacanestro Baiano, the new season kicks off: minibasket and great news

Balcanestro Baiano is ready to inaugurate a new sporting season, confirming once again as a point of reference for basketball in the area for over 38 years. With the Open Day MiniBasket, scheduled from 9 to 11 September 2025 at the Palazzetto dello Sport Italo Picciocchi, the doors to the little ones officially open, with basketball and minibasket courses held by FIP Federal Instructors.

Great novelty of this year is the collaboration with Francesca Fusco, Dr. in Motor and Sports Sciences, specialized in Posturology and Biomechanics, popularizer of the Joy of Moving Method and former international level, European and world -foiled swimming champion. Francesca will support the technical staff by introducing an innovative approach, which combines with minibasket workouts also foundations of English language, with the aim of combining sports, training and personal growth.

At the same time, the training sector training have already started:
The Under 14 is led by Bianco coach, the historical figure of the company, with the assistance of Stefano De Gennaro;
The Under 19 is entrusted to Carmine Maietta;
The first team, on the other hand, will live a new adventure under the technical direction of Luca Iannaccone, called to bring enthusiasm and experience.

To frame at the beginning of the season, the words of President Pietro Macario, who said: “We are excited to start again, we can’t wait for the season to begin and we hope it can be as winning as possible, inside and off the pitch”.
The Baianese company, with a story that for almost four decades intertwines passion and commitment, is preparing to live a season that promises strong emotions and, hopefully, important successes. The Open Day therefore represents the perfect opportunity to approach the world of basketball in a healthy, inclusive and stimulating environment. Appointment Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11 September, from 18:00 to 19:00, at the Baiano sports hall.
