the competitive spirit of youth badminton was on full display as the Bádminton Vegadeo Club stormed the Asturias Championship for Federates held in Langreo on Sunday, September 21st. The club’s athletes delivered a stellar performance,bringing home an impressive haul of 11 medals,a testament to their dedication and skill. This remarkable achievement includes three coveted gold medals, four silver medals, and four bronze medals, solidifying vegadeo’s position as a powerhouse in regional badminton.

The gold medal victories were spearheaded by some exceptional young talents.The dynamic duo of Álvaro Seijo and Marta Santamarina clinched the top spot in the Mixed Doubles Under-13 (DX-13) category. Santamarina continued her dominance, pairing with Ainhoa Rodil to secure another gold in the Girls’ Doubles Under-13 (DF-13). This double triumph for Santamarina highlights her exceptional all-around game. The third gold medal was earned by Alex Acevedo and Laura santamarina in the Mixed Doubles Under-15 (DX-15) division, showcasing the club’s depth of talent across different age groups.
