The Tennist Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka won the US Open, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, the most important of tennis, beating the American AMANDA ANISIMOVA in two sets and with the score of 6-3, 7-6 in the final (it is played in the best of the three sets). It is the fourth Tournament of the Grand Slam of his career and the second consecutive US Open. Sabalenka is 27 years old and is the number 1 tennis player in the world ranking, while Anisimova will rise in fourth place after this tournament, the best result of his career.
Sabalenka and Anisimova are two tennis players who play in a similar way, and give the best from the bottom field by focusing on powerful and precise blows. This is also why the game was fun and balanced in the exchanges, but Sabalenka was more concrete in the decisive and greater tension moments, also because it is more used to playing games of this level: for Anisimova it was only the second final of a Grand Slam tournament, even if the second consecutive, after the one played in July in Wimbledon against Iga Swiatek and missed.
This year Sabalenka had so far won three tournaments, but none of those of the Grand Slam: he had indeed lost in the final twice, at the Australian Open (against Madison Keys) and Roland Garros (against Coco Gauff).
