Tijuana, Baja California.- Thanks to the timely citizen complaint and the immediate intervention of elements of the Municipal Police, the assurance of several firearms that will no longer represent a risk to the safety of Tijuanenses families were achieved.
It was through a report issued by the Radio Central, in which it was alerted to a possible fact of telephone extortion to the detriment of a citizen, which mobilized municipal agents to a hotel located in the downtown area.
When interviewing the reporting party, it was indicated that a relative was allegedly deprived of liberty and that the mobile device showed location inside the establishment, so an inspection was immediately carried out in coordination with the place staff.
During the review, the officers located in one of the rooms a suitcase containing various firearms, including: three long carbine weapons of different calibers, supplied with 28, 21 and 22 useful cartridges, a subfusil 9 mm caliber with 12 useful cartridges and 8 expansive cartridges.
In addition, two 9 mm caliber gun guns were secured, supplied with 10 and 6 useful cartridges, and a bag containing 94 .40 caliber useful cartridges, in addition to loaders.
Likewise, a bag with a substance similar to heroin was secured, so it was immediately informed to superiority and the insured was made available to the Attorney General’s Office.
It should be noted that the possible victim was not located in the place, nor the device that issued the geolocation signal.
The Ministry of Municipal Citizen Security and Protection (SSPCM) reiterates the importance of citizen complaint, since thanks to these actions weapons are withdrawn that put the life and integrity of the population at risk.
