April Oiles: The Real Mount’s Top Triathlete

The April oils of Luis and Jorge Pérez Canal (RCN Vigo) did not give options in the Abanca ORC 1-2 class and closed the edition with six partial victories in seven sleeves. His domain was such that, in addition to proclaiming himself champion of his division for the third time, he took the absolute victory in Orc, confirming himself as one of the great referents of the Galician fleet. He was accompanied on the podium Syone Panther de Nuno Neves and the YESS TOO DE RUI RAMADA.

In Orc 3, the triumph was for the Urbapaz of Fran Edreira (CN Cabanas), which accumulated four victories in the first days and knew how to manage its advantage until the end. The podium was completed by the Bon III of Víctor Carrión and the Orion of Javi Pérez.

The Deep Blue 2.1 of Vicente Cid (RCN Vigo) shone in Orc 4, signing five partial wins and an incontestable title in front of Álvaro Martínez’s journey and the marine ronáutica of Anna Carneiro.

In the Open classes, the emotion remained until the last board. The Bonaventure of José Luis Ríos (RCN Vigo) won in Open 1, while in Open 2 the winner was the Portuguese Sapidco Quinta Lamosa of Joao Serodio (Yc do Porto).

Solintal takes the Spanish Cup

The always competitive J80 floats left a great show in the Bay of Baiona. The solintal of Ignacio Camino (RCM Santander) rose with the Spanish Cup, signing a regularity that allowed him to impose himself to the Mary of Manuel María Cunha and the Kouko of Daniel Cuevas.

In the classification of mixed equipment, the title was for the Barcelona ethnicity of Peru Múgica, which competed with a joint crew.

Sofia Toro takes the female category

In the Gestila Ladies Cup, the Galician Sofía Toro (RCN Coruña) and her team signed an incontestable domain with seven wins in eight sleeves. Accompanied by Ángela Pumariega, Marta Torres, Carmen Solórzano, Coca Delgado and Paloma Boots, the Olympic champions confirmed their superiority with twelve advantage points over their rivals. The podium was completed by CN Ibiza by Maura Ramón and RCN Tenerife of Alicia Cebrián.

The trophy concluded with a massive awards ceremony at Mount Real Club de Yates, chaired by institutional representatives and sponsors. In addition to the titles of each class, the Conde de Barcelona Don Juan de Borbón Award to the Syone Panther de Nuns Neves was given as the best Portuguese crew, and a special mention was dedicated to the students of the Sailing School adapted from the MRCyB.
