The day after the defeat at the Saint-Gilloise Union, Wouter Vandenhaute gave in to the anger of the supporters by presenting his resignation. A resignation quickly accepted by the board of directors. And while waiting for the appointment of a new strong man, Anderlecht sees a man from the shadows.
The latest news indeed reports the departure of Frédéric Veraghaenne, who officiated as director of the stadium. Clearly, he was responsible for infrastructure and operations at the Lotto Park.
At the origin of the lawn change
Veraghaenne had arrived in Saint-Guidon a year ago, he then worked at the Federation. It was Wouter Vandenhaute who brought him to the Mauves.
His departure is therefore clearly to be linked to that of the former Sporting CEO. Behind the scenes, the work will therefore be once again in size for the club in the coming months.
Frédéric Veraghaenne had already carried out certain projects, such as the thorny question of the restoration of the lawn.
