Seed 2, the triple tricolor men finished first in the group stage, after a victory against Turkey (3/0) then against Azerbaijan (3/1). In the semi-finals, they reiterate against Turkey, winning 3/1, and joined Germany in the final. In a final one -way match, the Blues won gold by winning 3/1.
Triple dames
Seeded 1, the triple French ladies also brilliantly concludes the group stage, occupying first place in the ranking thanks to two victories, against Turkey (3/0) and Bulgaria (3/2). The French women run in the semi-finals against Germany (3/0) before being unanimous in the final against the Netherlands (3/0). They climb on the first step of the podium in Baku.
Team competition
Initially favorite, the French have seen their team career stop in the quarterfinals. After finishing 2nd in their pool, thanks to a victory against Georgia (60/23) and a short defeat against Bulgaria (58/60), they bowed in quarters against the Netherlands, 58/60. Despite this disappointment, synonymous with non -qualification for the world championships, the Blues were able to bounce back on their triple journey.
